How does this actually work?
Easily and simply! Do I really need to take out this cover, can’t I just pay as and when I need it? |
No, sorry but that’s not possible. Apart from the initial telephone call to enable us to help set up the account which might take a bit of time, experience shows that when users demand the service they want it immediately. |
| |
Can the service be used for any purpose whatsoever?
Yes, it doesn’t matter what the reason for the call except that, of course, you have to pay for it!
| |
How exactly do I pay for this if, for example, I am in a jungle in Borneo?
By registering now, we will take your debit/credit card details and so if/when you come to use the service we will debit your card with the amount of minutes or part minutes used.
| |
My mobile phone is very basic and is over three years old, can it be used here?
As long as you have reception and can make a call then you are perfectly able to use the service
| |
If I’m somewhere which is right out of my usual time zone will someone be able to pick up my out of hours call?
Our interpreter network is available 24/7 and 365 days of the year. Whenever you need an interpreter we WILL be there.
| |
What happens if I lose my service details?
No problem, contact us and we will check and validate your identity and provide you with the necessary so you can get an interpreter straight away
| |
Is there a helpline I can call if I’m having a problem?
Should you have any problems whatsoever with the telephone interpreting service then please contact LangCommLingo directly. If you just wish to be put through to an appropriate interpreter and you’ve lost your language list, then dial us and we will put you through to our Customer Care Team who will connect you to the appropriate interpreter.
| |
What does a call cost?
You pay a standard “per minute” rate irrespective of language which is payable in £Sterling, $US or Euros based on your choice when you sign up for the service. Our rates are published on our website – part minutes are charged pro-rata. That’s all, apart from the annual subscription there are no other costs whatsoever other than the charge your telephone service provider might charge you for making the call.

What phone number do I use to talk to an interpreter?
Once you have an account number please just dial for an interpreter from anywhere in the world using the standard LangCommLingo number. Then just follow the prompts, entering your account number and the language code you require.
| |

What if I have lost my list of languages. |
Just dial LangCommLingo on the usual number and follow the prompts. You will be connected to a Customer Care Representative who will connect you with an interpreter in the language of your choosing

If I get in to trouble whilst abroad eg I need a doctor, will the interpreter be able to connect me to the emergency services for example or explain my situation to others as necessary? |
Our interpreters interpret between you and a 3rd party who does not speak English. They are limited to this interpreting service only so they will interpret what you ask or say and the corresponding responses. The interpreter is not an emergency operator service.

What if I do not know which actual language I need?
Just dial LangCommLingo on the usual number and follow the prompts. You will be connected to a Customer Care Representative who will help you. Firstly we will want to know which country you are in as we have a list of all languages that are spoken in every country. If necessary our Customer Care Representative will talk with the native speaker to try to ascertain the language. Once the language has been identified we will connect you to an interpreter accordingly |
