150 languages available 24/7.
Sound too good to be true? What’s the catch?

To be honest we don’t think there is a catch and yes, the service is available in all these languages 24/7 and 365 days of the year.

Firstly the “Sign Up” process. Just click the “Sign Up” link on any of the website pages and follow it through. In 4 minutes max you will have completed the form and, all being well, you will have an SMS message sent to your phone and an email to your inbox. We think it’s best to save the details to the mobile/ cell that you take on your travels, that way, even if you’ve been chased up a tree by an alligator, you have the necessary contact details should you need an interpreter.

The sign up process gives you some currency options ($US Dollars, £UK Sterling and Euros) and lets you choose either our European Language subscription or Worldwide Language option. Depends where you are going really as to which is the most appropriate service. If you are not sure what languages are spoken in the countries you are visiting then take a look at our “So what languages are spoken in ????? page” before you decide.

So, you’ve signed up and you have your Lingo phone numbers, account number and language list. What now?

If you need an interpreter just dial LangCommLingo on either of our contact numbers (to suit you) and follow the prompts. You can dial from any telephone – public or private, mobile/ cell or fixed line. You will be asked for your Lingo account number, the code for the language you require and the CV0/ CV2 code which you entered when you signed for the service (this is the 3 digit number typically found on the reverse of your credit/ debit card.) We will then connect you to the interpreter.

Be aware that you will talk to a human – not a machine. Inevitably there is a connection time before the interpreter comes on the line but be patient. Across our languages our average connection time is less than a minute and, please note, you are not charged for the interpreter until the interpreter comes on the line.

So what will it cost me? There are 3 elements to consider. Firstly there’s the annual subscription – for a small sum you get 12 months of language cover so if you ever need an interpreter then you know it’s there. Secondly there’s the charge per minute for using an interpreter. If you don’t actually need and therefore use an interpreter then there are no further charges applicable. Our subscription options and call charges are viewable on the pricing page of the Lingo website. Lastly you need to be aware of the charge levied by your service provider. Most Lingo clients use their mobile/ cell phones and so make sure you know what your provider charges for international calls. Please note, the LangCommLingo numbers are geographic non-premium rate numbers.
